In this competition the best marketing concepts for meat and meat products are chosen from send-in applications by a specialised competent jury. The winners are honoured solemnly on the meat congress of the professional food journal ‘Lebensmittelpraxis’.

„Selly“ – Organic market of the year: Together with die EU Commission the CMA has developed a contest for organic trade. At this, different categories of specialised trade and food retailing will be rated in view of the realisation of sales of the organic products. The significant facts will be checked by a critical inspection on site without prior notice by two jury members. In several meetings the jury will decide which markets have earned the title "Organic-market of the year ". This title may be used only for the respective year.

Directorate IVBFF: For a few years Dr. Pfaff is honorary member of the Managing Board of the international association of meat business economist (www.ivbff.de). This association has set itself the target to enhance the technical transfer and useful contacts. Hence, as a general meeting a symposium in March of the respective year and a study trip in October of the respective year is organised.

DVK Secretary: Since the 1st June, 2006 Dr. Pfaff leads the business dealings of the German federation of the neutral classification enterprises and certification bodies (www.dvk-bonn.de). She organises the representation of the member's interests and the technical exchange among colleagues. At the moment the federation has 11 members who, e.g., in the QS system, carry out 85% of the controls.
